COVID-19 Statement
Emily Christine Portraiture is committed to taking every possible precaution to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to or from our clients and provide a safe environment both inside and outside our studio premises.
We are taking the following extra-ordinary measures for the safety of our clients, visitors, and employees:
Adherence to State and Local guidelines
Above all, we believe in being good community citizens. We are working cooperatively with our state and local leaders to provide a safe environment for all. By adhering to guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control, we believe we can reopen our photography businesses safely, and at the same time, contribute to the emotional and financial healing process that needs to take place in a post-COVID-19 world.
Personal Protective Equipment
We will adhere to the use of PPE such as masks and gloves as warranted while working with clients. We are requesting all visitors to wear PPE upon entering our studio premises.
Employee Guidelines
Any studio employees or photographic assistants who are sick are required to stay home. We provide training and educational materials available through the CDC website on proper sanitation, hand washing, cough and sneeze etiquette, use of PPE, and other protective behaviors.
Social distancing / No touch Policy
During our photo sessions, we will maintain social distancing, using no-touch posing methods when at all possible. We have a 1,000 square foot studio with adequate space to maintain distancing. However, until further notice is received from the CDC and other health officials, we are limiting the maximum gathering in our studio at any one time.
Visitation by appointment only
All client visits will be by appointment only. We will hold to strict appointment times, allowing sufficient time to sanitize our photographic equipment and common areas after each client session and/or appointment. Only one client (and family) will be allowed in studio facilities at any given time. If the session is held offsite, only one client (and family) will be staged in the immediate area. Please call before stopping by our studio.
Temperature checks and screening
Every day each of our employees will undergo a temperature check. We will request each visiting client (including each member of the family present) to allow us to take a non-contact temperature check prior to each session.
As per CDC guidelines, any client, visitor, or family member with a fever exceeding 100.4 degrees shall be asked not to remain inside our studio premises and reschedule their appointment as necessary.
We will ask each client the following screening questions:
- How are you feeling?
- Have you had a cough or any flu-like or COVID symptoms in the last 14 days?
- Have you been around anyone exhibiting these symptoms with the last 14 days?
- Are you living with anyone who is sick or quarantined?
Adherence to cleaning protocols
Standard sanitation protocols prior to each client or visitor will include but not be limited to:
- Washing hands regularly before and after photographic sessions
- Sanitation of all props, chairs, benches with which a client may come into contact
- Steam cleaning is additionally used on any fabric props that clients come in contact with
- Sanitation of restroom/dressing facilities in our studio
- Sanitation of common areas, including doorknobs (interior and exterior), countertops, pens, and pencils, tablets, and monitors
- All unnecessary paper products or décor (magazines, newspapers, extraneous sales materials) are removed from the studio
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us provide our clients, visitors, and staff with the safest, healthiest environment possible.
